What are the main differences between a traditional funeral and direct cremation?
A customary funeral typically includes a service, followed by either burial or cremation. Alternatively, a direct cremation takes place without a service or mourners in attendance. At Simple Send-offs, viewing of the deceased during office hours is permitted if required. A hearse conveys the deceased to the crematorium at the first available date after they have passed.
Can we customise the funeral service?

The timeline varies based on several factors, such as the cause of death, obtaining required legal paperwork and family wishes. Usually, a funeral or cremation can happen within two weeks, depending on availability but we always try to accommodate the family’s specific timeline.

Pre-paid funeral plans enable people to pay for and arrange their funeral ahead of time. Plans guarantee that the funeral director fees are covered, with a contribution included for the disbursements i.e. the cremation fee, doctors fee and celebrant. Their specific wishes are documented and honoured when the time comes. It provides peace of mind for both the individual and loved ones.
